CraftSummer and an official announcement

CraftSummer has begun and it’s a joy as per usual.  In the Narrative Art Textile Class, I have four repeat offenders, which I take as a BIG compliment.  The town of Oxford is lovely (one highlight: Kona Bistro = awesome food and staff), and the CS staff is great.

Official announcement: I will STOP saying that I don’t sell artwork, as I’ve sold three pieces in the past two months via exhibitions and workshops in Chicago, St. Louis, and here.  This streak along with the good workshop luck is balancing out some show rejections.  Ying and yang.

A few ideas to start and/or resolve art stuff have come to me while here, which is often the case when teaching.  I’ll be posting some new finished work, including at least one piece with painting on rolled canvas (left over from the Stations of the Cross installation).

I’m also looking forward to a quick stop by at the newish (new to me) location of St. Theresa’s Textile Trove in Cincinnati, once in Over the Rhine and now up the street from where I used to live in Cincy (Northside), College Hill.

Here’s some images of in prog work . . .
