Embellished Fabric Cuff Workshop – Saturday, April 17!

I’ll be teaching an Embellished Fabric Cuff Workshop on Saturday, April 17 (noon – 4 p.m.) at CoffeeTree Books here in dear old Morehead.   Here’s the info:

Textile artist Jennifer A. Reis will lead an Embellished Fabric Cuff afternoon workshop on Saturday, April 17th from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. at CoffeeTree Books in Morehead, Kentucky.  Workshop participants will create an individually designed and embellished fabric cuff bracelet using techniques of non-traditional quilting, appliqué, and bead and thread embroidery. All techniques are hand-worked, emphasizing non-traditional sewing and quilting, and is open to sewing novices and experts alike.  All supplies are provided.  The cost of the work is $25.00 per person.  To register, call CoffeeTree Books at 606-784-8364.   CoffeeTree Books is located at 240 Morehead Plaza in Morehead, Kentucky.  The web site can be found at www.coffeetreebooks.com.

This workshop promises to be a lot of fun.  The project started out on a whim . . . what happens when I use the art textile textiles to make something I can wear?  The photos of these are awkward so you might have to use your imagination a bit.  When I wear them, people want to buy them.  So – that’s one way of saying they turned out well!
